Afro Tech Horizon gets things wrong occasionally. What matters is what happens next.

Telling us

Send the article's address and the specific error through the contact form. Point to what is wrong and, if you can, to the evidence. Vague complaints take longer to act on than precise ones.

What we do

An editor checks the claim against the original sourcing. If we were wrong, we fix it. If we were right, we tell you why and show our working. Either way you get an answer.

We aim to respond within two working days and to correct a confirmed factual error within one working day of confirming it.

How corrections appear

A correction to a fact is made in the article itself and noted at the foot of it, saying what was changed and when. We do not edit an error away and pretend it never ran.

Typographical fixes, broken links and formatting repairs are made without a note. Anything that changes the meaning of a sentence gets one.

Taking an article down

We do not unpublish articles because a subject dislikes them. An article is removed only where it is legally required, where it puts someone in danger, or where it was so wrong that correcting it is not enough. Where an article is removed, the address stays live and explains why.

If you are not satisfied

Say so, and the matter goes to the senior editor. Their answer is the final one at our end.
